Mrs. South lived and worked in Mathews for many, many years, was an active member of her church and community and best known for the care she gave to her family members as they aged and for being a loving mother and grandmother. Her home is filled with all the nostalgic items that bring back memories of a wholesome, carefree childhood. Included in this auction is mid century modern and wicker porch furniture; vintage children's furniture, including two school desks; milk glass, Fenton, Carnival and Jeannette Glass; multiple sets of fine china, porcelain and ceramic figurines and collectibles; Looney Tunes, Holly Hobbie, and Coca-Cola collectible glasses; retro and nostalgic board games, toys and model kits; vintage linens and bed covers; oil paintings and framed lithographs; vintage Christmas decorations and other seasonal decor, including handmade outdoor wooden displays; a Honda generator, a vintage Western Flyer tandem bicycle and a classic 1978 Yamaha 400 motorcycle. Auction includes items from other estates. Auction will be live until WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2026.  A PREVIEW is available for the MOTORCYCLE ONLY on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 from 3 to 5 PM at 131 Marchants Lane, Mathews, VA 23109. Auction will begin closing on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11 at 7 PM at the rate of 3 lots every minute. ** TAKE NOTE in the listing descriptions for larger items as to whether they are LOCATED on the 2nd FLOOR of the house ** Buyer is responsible for removing all items and you must bring required equipment (i.e., hand cart or dolly) and help to safely remove them from the location; staff on site are only available to help locate your items. If you do not bring adequate help to remove larger items, you will forfeit your purchase and will not receive a refund.
